2016 Subaru Tribeca
Subaru Tribeca is a mid size crossover SUV manufactured since 2005. the name derives from the TriBeCa neighborhood of New York City. Over the years, the Tribeca struggled with slow sales and it was finally discontinued in late 2013, left Subaru with the Forester as the currently largest model in its lineup, while the demand for a mid-size three-row crossover has been increasing rapidly. According to some reports, the Japanese automaker is actively working on a potential replacement for the discontinued Tribeca, and an all-new model might hit the market as a 2016 Subaru Tribeca. In an interview with Automotive News, the president of Subaru’s owner, Fuji Heavy Industries, Yasayuki Yoshinaga, said, “The next seven-seat passenger vehicle project is completely different. You won’t see the new vehicle coming out immediately when Tribeca production ends.”

All with the goal of this model eventually take place in the market where it belongs.
New 2016 Subaru Tribeca to be powered by a 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine teamed with a continuously variable transmission an all-wheel-drive system. The current Tribeca comes with a 3.6-litre V6, often criticised for its poor fuel economy. Subaru also will introduce a plug-in hybrid for North America to meet U.S. regulations taking effect in 2018. That model will be based on Toyota’s hybrid technology. Toyota owns 17 percent of Fuji Heavy. Subaru also will upgrade all gasoline engines to direct injection, starting in 2016. To meet more stringent emissions standards, Subaru will overhaul its powertrain technology, adding cylinder deactivation and combustion cycles by 2020.
