2016 Infiniti Q60
A concept of Infiniti’s next-generation Q60 coupe will make its debut next week at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show. Today we have some new photos of the concept, which features a striking design clearly influenced by Infiniti’s Q80 Inspiration concept unveiled at the 2014 Paris Auto Show. This model was last redesigned in 2008 when it was upgraded from G35 to G37 coupe and convertible status. In 2012, this model’s nameplate was labeled Infiniti JX but it was again renamed in 2014. According to its automakers, this upcoming coupe will be 2016 model. Its re-introduction is meant to ensure Infiniti returns and establishes itself as a major player in the first class car segment. 2016 Infiniti Q60 falls under the category of modern and innovative cars.
New 2016 Infiniti Q60 will feature a familiar shape but with some exciting new elements. Up front, the brand will get rid of the aggressive split apron, the massive grille and the skinny headlamps. Infiniti will use more production-friendly pieces, while making sure the coupe boasts a sportier appearance compared with the Q50 sedan. We can also see a vertical front fender vent, an interesting C-pillar design and handsome 21-inch wheels. in addition, rear fascia will be taken down a notch as well. Forget about the sexy apron and the slim taillights, because both will be gone and replaced by blander parts. But despite these changes, the Q60 will indeed become the sportiest member and a benchmark for future Infiniti cars. The interior of 2016 Infiniti Q60 is said to feature a 2+2 layout and a luxurious. The seats are trimmed in quilted leather and around the dash are carbon fiber accents to emphasize the car’s performance edge. Although Infiniti has made significant improvements to its interior lately, the Q60 seems to benefit from even more attention to detail and I wouldn’t rule out niceties such as carbon fiber inserts.
2016 Infiniti Q60 Powertrain
Given Infiniti’s current strategy, it makes sense for the 2016 Infiniti Q60 to employ the current coupe’s 3.7-liter V-6. The unit cranks out 330 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque as of 2015, but that might change for the redesigned model. A hybrid option is also possible at some point.
2016 Infiniti Q60 Competitors, Release Date and Price
2016 Infiniti Q60 is predicted to be released in summer of 2015 in Detroit Auto Show. As for price, it is predicted to increase about $1,400 from the current Q60’s price of $42,000. The hybrid model will cost $3,000 more. Shiro Nakamura, design chief for all Nissan brands, has said the production Infiniti Q60 2016 will target the BMW 4-Series but will be slightly larger.
