Another issue of new cars is coming out. Some unofficial sites reported about the camouflaged 2017 Hyundai Equus that appeared for driving test on snowy roads around Scandinavia. As a new sedan, this car is expected to start its sales market at the end of 2016. Well, it is not a new comer because the first generation was launched in 1999 which was quite popular as a full luxury car. In Middle East market, it is called as Hyundai Cantennial. The car is ready to come out for global market to deal with BMW 7 Series, Mercedes S-Class, Lexus LS, Audi A8 and other luxurious sedans. 2017 Equus is more than just a luxurious car that offers maximum comfort, but it also a very subtle sedan.
2017 Hyundai Equus Exterior and Interior
Hyundai mentioned that this new version will be more different compared to the previous model. This sedan will get minor facelift with the top shape. The official wants to solve the current problem that is about the fuel consumption. Around the exterior and interior, 2017 Hyundai Equus will receive big makeover including the grille that is a bit similar to Audi to complete the front part of the car which will be spread to the top of hood and to lower of bumper to make it more handsome. The design language is retained from the predecessor. The back part of the car looks new because the slim taillights that is quite classy. Based on spy shots, it got some minor improvements especially for its details.
When you check the cabin, 2017 Hyundai Equus is expected to go with subtle look as its bodywork. The equipment should be better than before with the ventilated seats for both front and back area, heads-up display, aluminum and steel accents or even high quality leather. 2017 Hyundai Equus Engine and Specs
There is a big expectation that the official will support it with the inherited engine from the previous model. It means that V8 Tau engine 5.8 liter that is paired to eight-speed auto transmission for fast and smooth performance during changing gears. The output should be transmitted to the rear axle. It is also possible if 2017 Hyundai Equus will be paired with the optional HTRAC AWD system with 429 horses of output. This gearbox supports the car to accelerate to 60 mph in less than 6 seconds. The fuel consumption is 18 mpg average that is expected to be improved through new engine which is turbocharged V6 engine 3.3 liter to produce more than the V8 engine.
2017 Hyundai Equus Release Date and Price
Nobody knows when the car will be released. Our assumption is 2017 Hyundai Equus should be available at the end of 2016 that the concept could be presented this April at 2015 New York Auto Show. The price tag is about $65,000 which is quite fair since it is a luxury cars with some strong rivals including BMW and Audi.
