2017 VW Tiguan
Starting its debut in European premiere at Frankfurt Motor Show in 2015, VW Tiguan will be released as the second generation in 2016 and its sales production will be started soon. Now, Volkswagen has big invest for 2017 VW Tiguan with the manufacturing plant in Mexico.
2017 VW Tiguan will be built with 5+2 layout as a new model that will be released for the huge demand in American and other markets. It is also possible if they will release the standard five-seat model. It is the part of their plan in order to expand their market position. These models have been announced by the official but it is in form of concept. Buyers might see the VW CrossBlue full-size crossover SUV and mid-size SUV VW CrossCoupe GTE. Both the cars get excellent response and its production might go for few years ahead.
2017 VW Tiguan Design and Changes
The presence of 5+2 variant will not jeopardize the existence of three-row full-size SUV that will be available for American market. With the presence of two additional seats, it offers more features. This case automatically will make the company offers increased dimensions. The seats are presented for small kids. Its production could be started in the second half of 2016 as 2017 VW Tiguan. The sales could happen in the beginning of 2017 and the company has a big plan to produce it for about 500 units in a day.
2017 Tiguan for the American version that is 5+2 has longer dimension than the European version. Its length is about 4.7 m that is 30 cm longer compared to the standard. The increased wheelbase will be increased and the cargo space is enlarged. It is also quite promising for the company to offer some versions with the steering wheel on the left side. It is their strategy to expand the markets.
However, there will be no changes for size and configuration in European market. It is still five-seater SUV with some changes for its design. It has more ideal design and better functionality for 2017 VW Tiguan.
2017 VW Tiguan Specs
For American market, it is still hard to get known the engine details for this car. The European market will be featured with some engine options especially for gasoline and diesel. Buyers could choose four-cylinder turbocharged 1.4 liter petrol engine and diesel to provide about 110 to 184 horsepower. This engine is efficient and economical but it might be not enough for American market. Hopefully, there is six-speed manual transmission as well as seven-speed dual-clutch DSG transmission for this all-wheel drive 2017 VW Tiguan.
